Antioxidant licorice root is extracted from a herb native to Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Licorice root is an effective skin-brightener, improving skin tone and reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation through its inhibition of enzyme tyrosinase (which in turn inhibits melanin production) and it's liquiritin content which helps disperse existing melanin in the skin.
