Organic skincare generally refers to products that include organically-farmed ingredients.
As with natural skincare, there is no set global legislation around what can be labeled an organic skincare product, but there are local regulations for organic products in some regions, from governing bodies such as COSMOS and Soil Association. Whilst the definition of organic varies region to region, typically it means no laboratory made substances (such as pesticides, fertilizers, hormones, antibiotics, parabens) are used, and in some regions ingredients need to conserve biodiversity as well as improve air and soil quality.
