Gotu kola, also known as Centella asiatica, asiatic acid or hydrocotyl, is a herb native to Asia.
It offers a variety of skin benefits thanks to its antioxidant and active compounds, and is adept at soothing, hydrating and calming inflammation. Gotu kola first became popular in South Korea as the active ingredient in Cica creams.
